Abe Feder, Program Chair presented the impressive Micro Credit Program initiated by the Tempe South Rotary Foundation eight years ago. He noted that more than 12,000 people in Senora , Mexico have benefited from program loans totaling more than $53 million since the programs inception in 2015.
Money invested in the microcredit is one of the most successful investments to eradicate poverty anywhere in the world. This Arizona -Senora, Mexico program makes small business loans available to the poorest people in the poorest sections of cities and towns in Senora, Mexico through an existing microcredit financial institution. The small business loans provide capital to small scale entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. Their success rate is outstanding.
