A Salon Piano Recital

Rising Young Russian Prodigy Natalia Lisanova

The Rotary Club of Sedona Village organized and sponsored an intimate Salon Piano Recital performed by 16 year old rising Russian prodigy from St. Petersburg: Natalia Lisanova.

Natalia started her music education when she was a mere toddler. Her mother was her first teacher. She studied in a special music school by the Saint Petersburg’s State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimskiy-Korsakov. Hear a sample of Natalia’s music on the Sedona Village Rotary web sight: https://sedonavillagerotary.org.

Natalia plays concerts regularly all over Russia and receives top honors in every competition she enters.  This trip to the US was her first experience playing outside Russia.

Natalia’s trip was a result of a 2 year process by Prescott Rotarian Joe Waesche and his wife Olga who had a desire to promote peace and friendship between the US and Russia through music.  Natalia performed 5 benefit concerts while in the US for 2 weeks.  Those who heard this incredible virtuoso will be watching to see her dream of traveling the world as a renowned concert pianist fulfilled.

This special event was held Tuesday, July 23 in the beautiful home of Village Rotarian Jennette Bill and her husband, David. 62 guests enjoyed appetizers and meaningful conversations on the back patio, followed by an absolutely riveting indoor concert performance, which ended with a standing ovation, Natalia’s encore, and another standing ovation. All proceeds from the salon benefitted the Verde Valley Sanctuary.

The Sedona Village Rotary Club and the Verde Valley Sanctuary wish to thank sponsors and contributors Dr. David and Jennette Bill, Danielle Giann and Damian Bruno (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage), David and Ania Hanke, Natalia Lisanova and her trip sponsors, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Waesche.

The Rotary Club of Sedona Village meets the second and fourth Thursdays of every month at Redstone in the Oak Creek Country Club. The beneficiary of the piano salon, the Verde Valley Sanctuary, has worked diligently for more than 25 years to provide comprehensive services throughout the Sedona/Verde Valley area for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
