Rotary has a new Club- Sedona Village Club!

The Village Club already has 33 members and we're off and running. Read more about how we're just getting started.
Fellow Rotarians,

We have a new club in District 5495:  the Rotary Club of Sedona Village.  The Sedona Village Club, located about 10 miles south of the City of Sedona, was a satellite of the Sedona Club.  The Village Club already has thirty-three members; and counting.  They meet at 7:30 am, on the second and fourth Thursday, at the Oak Creek Country Club.  New clubs and satellite clubs speak volumes about the vibrancy of District 5495.  Let’s welcome our new club into the fold and support their growth and programs.

We were all new clubs at one time, so we are intimately aware of the complexity and cost of standing up a new club and its charitable organization.  We can support the new club right now by attending their Charter Party and Recognition Celebration on June 30th and making a contribution, in kind or dollars, to their startup expenses.

The invitation to the Village charter event is attached: a great evening amongst the Red Rocks of Sedona and the green grass of the Oak Creek Country Club. There will be District officers and community leaders present to give the new club a rousing send-off.  This celebration may well be my last official event as your District Governor, and I can’t think of a more fitting departure than embracing a new club as they come into our District.

There are many opportunities to support the Village Club, both by giving them the supplies they will need as a club, or providing them with much needed funds, so the Village Club can make the needed purchases.  Some ideas for support are:  Inside Club Banner $225; Banner case and stand $150; Club Officer Pins $100; Charter Member Pins (33 members) $132; New Member Kits (10) $90; Member Badges (33) $280; Inflatable Rotary Sign $300; Miniature Trading Banners (10) $100; Rotary Lectern (standing or table top); Outside Rotary Club banner.

The Sedona Club, as the sponsor club, will provide the Village Club with a Rotary bell and gavel; what a great sponsor.  Contact the Sedona Village Club’s Charter President, Rob Schaefer, to make reservations for the party or coordinate support:  thlegalguy@aol.com or by cell phone 310-463-7732.
