District Governor Visit

In Rotary, the District Governor’s visit is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a long-standing tradition that connects each club to the wider Rotary family and reminds us that Rotary’s strength begins at the local level.

This year, we were honored to welcome our District Governor, Jim Schmidt, to our club. True to Rotary tradition, the visit was both ceremonial and meaningful. Jim spent time with our members, listened to our stories, and shared district priorities and encouragement, reinforcing the vital link between our club, the district, and Rotary International.

We marked the occasion in classic Rotary fashion with a breakfast potluck, gathering around the table to share food, fellowship, and conversation before the meeting. These shared meals are an important part of the tradition, creating space for connection and reminding us that Rotary leadership is rooted not just in service, but in relationships.

A District Governor’s visit is never an inspection; it’s a celebration. Jim Schmidt’s visit affirmed that what we do as a club matters, that our service has impact, and that together, across clubs and communities, we are part of something much larger than ourselves.

Welcome Back David Gill

The Sedona Village Rotary Club is delighted to welcome back past member David Gill. After taking a few years away from Rotary, David watched the incredible work our club has continued to accomplish and felt the pull to once again be part of a group so deeply committed to serving our community. We are thrilled that he has rejoined us.

Pictured with David at his returning member induction ceremony are Membership Chair Del Rae Cruszen, District Governor Jim Schmidt, and Roger Schaefer, who had the honor of “pinning” David. Welcome home, David. We’re glad you’re back in the Rotary family.

Thank you again Clarks Market!!!

Clark’s Market “Non-Profit Monday” Supports Our Veterans

Clark’s Market continues to be a valued community partner through its Non-Profit Monday program. On designated Mondays, Rotarians collect customer receipts, and Clark’s Market generously donates 5% of the total receipts collected back to our club. Every dollar raised through this program is dedicated specifically to supporting the needs of veterans at the VA Hospital in Prescott.

Pictured is Kevin Fry, Clark’s Market store manager and proud member of our Rotary Club, presenting a donation check to Rob Schaefer, who leads our club’s veterans support efforts. This partnership is a wonderful example of local business, Rotary service, and community compassion working together to make a meaningful difference for those who have served.

Many thanks to our Sponsors and Local Restaurants for The Taste Of The Village and sponsoring our club activities.
