…and then, in our August 20 meeting starting 8:00 am, we will hear from Community member children who were able to attend some of the summer camps this year as they report on their experience and how it impacted their life. Here are all the summer camps for which scholarships have been provided:
10 scholarships to summer camps 2026: Sedona Dance Academy, Joffrey Ballet School, NAU Curry Music Camp, NAU soccer and cross-country camps
1 scholarship to Sister Cities Leadership Summit, Washington, DC (6/2026)
7 scholarships to Parks & Rec summer camps 2026
10 scholarships to Senior High RYLA leadership camp (1/2026)
2 scholarships to Middle School RYLA leadership camp (6/2026)

At our August 6 meeting Yavapai County Sheriff's Office Representative Ron Norfleet shared important information about fraud prevention and how to protect yourself from predators.

The Yavapai County Master Gardeners, in collaboration with the Sedona Village Rotary Club, will host the Master Gardener Fall Splendor Sedona-VOC Garden Tour and Community Garden Fest.
These concurrent events are designed to offer attendees inspiration and practical insights tailored specifically to gardening in the unique Red Rock region. Both will take place on
Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
There is no cost for the Rotary Garden Fest and no reservations are needed.
Tickets for the Master Gardeners Tour ($20) are on sale now. Register online by clicking on the button below. Registration information and a tour map will be sent to paid attendees the day before the event. The Rotary will have BBQ lunch available at our garden, plus there will be a “farmers market” with multiple vendors.
It is crunch time folks - we only have 2.5 months to go before the event. We really could use everyone's help to bring in 1 or 2 sponsor each. Please check your emails for Jennifer Bowles' August 3 email. It has a link to the Spreadsheet with Sponsor Target List. You might have other ideas for local service business to ask as well. Please see the sponsorship form at the end of this newsletter. If we all do a little bit, we'll surely exceed our goal!

Join Us for the 2026 Oak Creek Cleanup!
The Rotary Club of Sedona Village invites local residents to help keep Oak Creek clean and beautiful.
Sunday, September 6, 2026, Meet at 7:30 a.m.
Baldwin Trail parking lot, at the end of the dirt-road portion of Verde Valley School Road.
Rotary will provide cleanup tools and buckets. Please dress appropriately, bring plenty of water, and remember that a Red Rock Pass is required for parking.

Charge and Counter-charge -- players lean in to their roles in Peter and Wendy
“This year’s MCT was the best ever!” exclaims Jennette Bill at the conclusion of Missoula Children's Theatre performance Saturday.
“We had 58 kids who were in the play with 39 of them from Sedona, 16 from surrounding areas and 3 from out-of-state. We had an audience of over 400 between the two performances. The parents and kids were exuberant and over-the-top excited about this year’s experience with our two outstanding directors, Ivy and Hannah. Attendees could donate food for Sedona Food Bank in lieu of buying a ticket and we ended with an overflowing barrel and 10 or more crates of canned food.”
Hooray for Jennette and Rob for overseeing another successful year! And Thanks to West Sedona School for providing the facility and Arabella for hosting the MCT directors!
