Verde Valley Sanctuary Serves Thousands
Club members learned about Verde Valley Sanctuary from Tracey McConnell.  VVSanctuary started 30 years ago with a group of women who were concerned about domestic violence in the area.  Last year alone VVSanctuary served nearly 1,500 survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and over 2,100 youth.
This not-for-profit organization completely embraces survivors.  Understanding that pets are often the reason victims stay, the shelter is pet-friendly.  From crisis hotlines, emergency shelter (even if that means partnering with a local hotel) to transitional housing, to support groups and legal advocacy, survivors are supported along every step of the journey to safety and a new life.
Prevention is also essential to VVSanctuary's work.  Youth Empowerment Services programs are presented to youth to teach about healthy relationships and violence prevention.
You can help this incredible organization by shopping at the three Twice Nice Thriftiques.  All proceeds directly support Verde Valley Sanctuary's services.  Go to https://verdevalleysanctuary.org/ for more information.
Rotary Week of Service Set to Begin April 15th
The 2nd Annual Arizona Rotary Week of Service begins on April 15th!  You do not have to be a Rotarian to participate!  The following are the Rotary Club of Sedona Village's scheduled service projects:

This project is in collaboration with The Rotary Club of the Verde Valley.

Food and water will be provided.  This project was brought to us by the Lindsay Way neighbors and is in collaboration with Sedona Area Veteran & Community Outreach.

Clark's Not-for-Profit Monday:  April 24th
Plan to do all of your grocery shopping at Clark's on Monday, April 24th!  One of our best community partners, Clark's market, will be donating a percentage of their sales to our Charitable Fund's Veterans' project.  Watch for details about manning our table in the store to collect as many shoppers' receipts as possible.
