Club Answers the Call to Serve with Over 100 Hours of Service
Many have been credited with saying, "Service is the rent we pay for living on this earth."  Our club paid up during the Rotary Week of Service!  Here's a look at what we did by the numbers:
  • over 100 hours of service donated
  • 5 projects in 6 days
  • 3/4 of members participated in at least one event!
  • 1/3 of members participated in more than one event!
  • 3 members brought family members to help
  • partnered with 2 different Rotary Clubs (Verde Valley and Sedona)
  • partnered with 3 organizations:  Humane Society, Manzanita Outreach, Sedona Area Veterans & Community Outreach
  • provided 8 hours of help and saved over $200 in labor for a new partner, The Humane Society of Sedona
Congratulations to each and every one of you for being part of something so much bigger than our club!
Club Uses RWOS to Further Visioning Goals
Through the service performed during Rotary Week of Service, our club made great strides toward our strategic goals.  Look at what else we accomplished while serving others!

  • Increased Our Impact by partnering with local organizations:  Humane Society of Sedona, Manzanita Outreach, Sedona Area Veterans & Community Outreach (SAVCO), The Rotary Club of Sedona, The Rotary Club of the Verde Valley.
  • Increased Our Ability to Adapt by engaging social media:  many posts on Instagram and on Facebook.
  • Enhanced Participant Engagement by conducting field trips to new/established businesses:  Humane Society of Sedona and Manzanita Outreach provided tours of their facilities for us.
  • We also enhanced participant engagement and increased our ability to adapt by offering multiple service opportunities on different days and times.  This allowed 21 of our 27 members to get involved and further Rotary International's mission of "providing service to others."
RWOS Continues with Clark's Not-for-Profit Monday
Thank you to Robert, Rob, Tracey and her husband Gary, Jennette, Angela, Will, Cathleen Banister-Marx, Carolyn, Michael Boblewski, and Robert (with a second shift) for grabbing all of the receipts they could from shoppers.  Many shoppers also felt the need to give from their own pockets:  $289!  Clark's will be giving 5% of the receipt total to our Veterans' Project.  Be sure to thank Dave Miller and the Clark's staff for the opportunity and generosity.  Stay tuned for the grand total!
