The meeting on November 3rd was our Annual Meeting. All teams reported to the membership on their projects and Visioning items. Lynn laid out a vision for a more structured Administrative team role. This includes a more formal project proposal process as well as program development. Susan addressed the membership aspect of the administration team with an M&M theme. Membership is particularly focused on the vision item to establish a mentorship program. Community Service has already started some of their Visioning Action Items: composting, an active social media presence, and partnering with other organizations (Oak Creek Watershed for the cleanup and the School District for our upcoming Adopt-a-Family). Heather hopes to develop a Signature Event by March 2023. The International team has been very busy partnering with other Rotary Clubs and civic groups through Sedona International City of Peace, Sedona Sister Cities Association and the Rotary Club of Sedona. Winnie is finalizing details for the Golden Gates from with teen performs from Ukraine and Armenia, tentative date for February 9th. Winnie also has the Action Item of doing a community assessment underway. Team reports wrapped up with Holly and Youth Services. Interacts are thriving, RYLA is happening, and Rotary Youth Exchange is finally starting up again! There was a lively discussion about why we have meetings. There was a lot of input from traditionalists and newer members who are working and have families. Watch for an attempt at restructuring our meetings come January. (Carolyn is at it again!) If you have any questions or would like to participate in any of the team projects, please contact the Team Captains!
