On this fine Thursday, July 16, we welcomed: Jennette & David, Ken, Mark, Christie & Matt (inducted today), Harry, Rob, Carolyn, Eric Young (guest), Danielle, Sara, Louise (Jennette's neighbor), Jack, John, Holly, Miki, Debbie, Lori, Harvey, Peg, Ernie, and Heather.
Lori had an accident and let us know about her surgery. We all wish her a speedy recovery.
Carolyn handled the Pledge of Allegiance, 4 Way Test, and told us how she practices "building goodwill and better friendships" through her current sale at the Eye Boutique which is also a fundraiser for the Sedona Community Food Bank.
We heard about everyone's happy thoughts and wishes for the week, health, happiness, and wellness. Over $140 was contributed online because of the happiness we all share.
Some general club updates to share:
- The Community Garden was approved by the Sedona School District with a vote of 4 in approval and one abstaining. The enthusiasm was felt from the district staff and school board at last week's Zoom meeting. They are just as excited as we are to get the Garden growing.
- Fundraisers: 100 Holes of Golf will take place November 7, the Grocery Grab at Clark's Market will take place in March 2021, Navajo Water Project is an online fundraiser and members can take part as they see fit.
- Club Administration let everyone know to save the date for July 31, 6:30pm for the streaming of the movie "Wasted" for the club. It's timely and will provide important information about composting, food conservation, and more.
